The Sugikoujou factory is located in Ukiha City, Fukuoka prefecture, where the forestry and lumbering industry has been active and popular for a long time.

Beginning from the middle of the Meiji period, Sugikoujou had mainly made wooden furniture such as chest of drawers. It gradually started to produce student desks, chairs, jump boxes and other general sports equipment to be delivered to schools across the country. In the early Showa era, as a school furniture factory, it received a recommendation from the Ministry of Education at the time, and its durable products gained high praise.

Taking advantage of the many years of experience in furniture making, Sugikoujou are also committed continuing to produce products that are safe, secure, and considering people and the environment.
