A chair made 250 years ago in England, the birthplace of the Windsor chair. It is so called Oliver Goldsmith's chair because it was owned by the playwright Oliver Goldsmith (produced in 1760-1765).

Hida industry is closely related to the history of the Windsor chair in Japan.
In anticipation of the 50th anniversary of Hokkaido folk art furniture, one of the genealogy of the Windsor Chair in Japan, we would like to re-evaluate the origins of the spirit and skill that Hida has inherited.
We wanted to go back to one leg that can be said to be the origin of the Windsor chair that has been derived in various ways until today.
In cooperation with Professor Toka Keisuke of Musashino Art University Craft Industry Design Department, we conduct an in-kind survey at Victoria & Albert Museum in the United Kingdom, leaving the beauty of the original as it is, backrest, elbow height, seat plate size and size
We pursued shapes so that contemporary people could feel comfortable, such as counter-shaped shapes.
GOLD SMITH WINDSOR is a prototype of the Windsor chair that we want to deliver to genuine customers.
