Each piece in shesay's ACACIA WOOD series is handcrafted by artisans. Because each piece is carved from seamless natural wood, knots and cracks due to drying may occur. Acacia has a distinct contrast between light and dark, with a dark brown center and white edges. We view knots, grain, and variations in shade as characteristics of the wood itself, and aim to use raw materials efficiently and conserve limited resources. No two products delivered to our customers are the same. We hope you will enjoy the individual differences and expressions of the material itself.
Precautions
Because these products utilize the natural texture of natural materials, each piece will have variations in knots, grain, and color depth. Wooden products are prone to scratches and may shrink, warp, or develop slight cracks due to changes in climate and environment. Because this is natural wood, avoid soaking the product in water. This can cause deformation, cracks, and fractures. After use, wash the product as soon as possible, wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth, and dry thoroughly. Leaving the product wet can lead to mold and bacteria. Also, keep in mind that storing the product in direct sunlight or near a fire for extended periods of heat may cause cracks. The surface has been minimally coated to preserve the texture and feel. Therefore, slight color variations may occur. <Handling Precautions> After use, immediately wash with a mild detergent. After washing, wipe off any moisture and allow to air dry. If the wood loses its luster, soak the wood in olive oil or other vegetable oil, apply a thin layer to the surface, and dry in a well-ventilated, shady area. By caring for it, you can keep the wood grain beautiful and use it for a long time.
